I would say that the tenant had a duty of care to use the keys provided and by not using the mortice lock she was negligent. If the key became damaged and unusable she should have requested another which she could use. In not doing so she was also negligent.
Write to your ex-tenant and warn her that you intend to deduct the whole cost of the door-repair from her deposit. It's likely, as Clutton says, that she will not contest it or try to reclaim the money via the court. She deserves to bear the entire cost.0
