Enforcing Judgements (A lengthy rant!)

Hi, just wondering how you got on 7/8 months later. Did you retrieve your money?
I'm in a similar position; am owed thousands of pounds in costs from a court case. The debtor hasn't paid and the court now says they have no jurisdiction to enforce the order. !!!!!!?
I had to pay out the expenses for Expert Witnesses, Surveyors etc. (property case) and so am in debt with a huge overdraft myself as a result. I can't now afford to pay a solicitor or anyone else to chase this evil nasty greedy man that has MY money!
I've had years of stress over this, and the authorities only add to it with their incompetence and/or indifference.
As you say, it's a wonder more innocent and ripped off people don't 'turn' and take the law into their own hands!
The injustice is incredible.0 -
Watch The Sherrifs are coming on BBC1 at 11am weekdays or on i player
pay £60 to get it moved to high court and get a writ
they will seek recovery
if they cant you pay £60 admin
if they can, there is nothing more to pay...
as mentioned its the high court enforcement officers that you will have dealing with it0 -
There are people in your community who will collect for you at a rate of 20% takeout...contact one of your local doormen and they will point you in the way forward...good luck..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the offence of "Incitement" still exist?
There's a tremendous difference in offering helpful advice and suggesting somebody should "Send the heavies around!" :eek:0 -
I don't want to 'send the heavies round' of course. It shouldn't have to come to even thinking about that. But this evil man owes me, the innocent party, thousands of pounds. Money which I need to retrieve having paid the costs of defending my rights against his lengthy attack on them.
If the authorities aren't helping, honestly, it's a wonder people don't go that far.
What am I supposed to do? The man has bullied and intimidated me for years and now ignores the court order. Am I supposed to just leave it?
Frankly, the heavies are too good for him. The system stinks. Lawyers, professional Witnesses, courts etc. make a LOT of money out of the fight, then when it comes to getting it back as you're legally entitled, they're no help.
It will cost me a lot more money to make the guy bankrupt, and once again I'll lose out while everyone else gains.0
