There Is this one women at my local express who holds every note I give her against the light - thinking every note I hand her Is fake!

When you get your change, bite the coins (carefully mind) one-by-one whilst still standing at the till and check any notes you get in your change against the light too. That'll annoy her

I also do not like how Tesco Express are taking over the small local news agents. First we had Teso Supermarkets taking over and now we have TESCO Express Stores. It Is just mad!

Its a known fact that all these type of high street big names are loads more expensive.
Its certainly not higher overheads its just plain and simple more profit.
Having put all the small independents out of business they then move back onto the high street and charge what they like sound business !!!!!
If you dont like paying more dont use them

This would be the small newsagents who charge a lot more for products than Tesco Express, have barely anything on their dirty shelves, tiny product range and only bother to talk to you if you've been coming into their shop for the past 20 years!

Are you serious?
as already said it's for convinience, maybe that particular shop had a spate of fake notes used, i go to shps where some people check my notes, strangely enough it doesnt bother me, i know they aint fake so why should it? the local tesco express from me has never had lots of empty shelves when i've been in there, infact they do quite a good range for a small shop.
I'm 22 and still get asked for id buying fags, no biggie take id with me everywhere anyways.

Also extra checking of the notes means that no-one can be 'confused' whether it was a £10 or a £20 plus to check that they are real.
