Crikey, the house itself isn't particularly old. So it can barely have had anything done to it - ever. Such a shame that I can't twitter on about original features when it's a 1960s ex council house.

that house is great, we have actually just bought something not too dissimilar with equally 'groovy carpets. very little had been done to that since the 70s including the original 50s central heating which had never been used in 60 years...

The history of Jaywick is fascinating.

The Daily Mail article piqued my interest but there's not that much info on Wikipedia really. I've been up all the roads in Jaywick on streetview many times. Fascinating place!
