Actually I'm not even sure whether its legal to have a window so close to someone else's garden that it would open into it.
I've watched an extension being built on a nearby house (in a row of older houses) recently and was astonished to see that one of the windows quite clearly opens out over the next door neighbours back yard (having been put in the side wall - when it should have quite obviously been put in the end wall of the extension). That rogue window is clearly visible to anyone walking down that pretty public road and I'm waiting with interest to see if the poor next door neighbour is lodging a protest about it and the window will have to be moved to the correct place.
Bad enough in my house - where the neighbour behind can open a bedroom window and have a conversation with me in my back yard if they want to (well the lodger tried to once - and got a very "British" reaction back of "I cant see you/I cant hear you if I'm in my back garden (aka back yard)" whilst I thought "They'll learn our ways if they're in this country long enough....I expect no-one has explained to them yet that back gardens are private (even if they arent)". I wasnt going to stand and explain British customs to them at that point - I was too annoyed that they hadnt learn that convention yet...0 -

And are those beer mats stuck to the ceiling? (pic 6)It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

As long as you've got cash to spare to buy yourself the necessary private boat or helicopter, I don't see why not!0 -
