Full bar in shed almost makes up for the graffiti decor in two of the rooms.

Wonder who they got their insurance from pic 8.

Sorry - but I for one think its hideous!:o Nice house, but rip out all that garbage, really!

Sorry to be blunt, but you did ask.

No offence taken wabbitpoo - each to their own! Although if course it's not all our stuff that's still in there, LOL! One of the current owners was an antique dealer in an upmarket part of London in a past life and whilst a) they did buy about £5k worth of bits from us, b) I agree the front reception room paint scheme is now (14/15 years on from when we did it) rather OTT and no longer my taste and c) we're not into the heavy Victorian look, but more Art Nouveau meets Arts & Crafts........I'd have to disagree that it's 'garbage' ;):p Anyhoo, I'm biased as it was always my dream house :o

    Gotta love that EA speak:

This generously sized Semi-detached Villa occupies a prime location within an established residential district. The property, which sits within level garden ground to both front and rear, offers a generous internal specification which is laid out over two levels.

That'll be a semi, with two floors, then.

Actually the word "villa" is not pretentious EA speak. It is common parlance in Scotland to refer to a house as a villa.

Phoebe - love the house - fab, fab, fab.

I've started my search for my "diamond in the rough" - will keep you all posted......

    Hmmm..... indeed!

I had the same wallpaper and carpet (pic 5) as a child/young teenager back in the '80s. Looks like the whole house hasn't been decorated since then.

What is that white thing in the fireplace in photo 2? Not there in the close-up on it in photo 6.

Is that a plate of food under their table? Also, the lino in the kitchen I suspect was not put in by experts. (pic 4)

(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)

Looks like it is a plate of food. !!!!!! is it doing on the floor? There is something blue on the chair to the right on the front. I think the lino in the kitchen could be from the washing machine flooding the kitchen as it looks fine at the front of the photo.

The vendor could have spent a few hours removing that pile of rubbish to the right of the shed, tidying the shed (guessing its just as messy as the garden) and putting the chairs and pieces of wood/mdf in the once tidied shed.

When I rule the world I will legislate to make it compulsory for estate agents to do things like that (including picking that plate up and taking down the washing line) before taking pictures. On penalty of death :D.
