    Refurnished? Desirable development? My in-laws live in the village and this estate is NOT by any stretch of the imagination a 'desirable development', lol.

    Jeez Louise looks like Beirut on a good day!!

    loved it right up to the rooms with the beams....

    So "age inappropriate" doesn't just apply to people dressing inappropriately for their age then...:rotfl:...there would just NEVER be beams naturally on that age of house. The staircase looks most unsafe too - no banister or anything there - or did they decide to do a staircase from a "different era" to the beams (ie one of those glass sides to it) but never got round to it.

    Plenty of houses were built like that in the 1960s and 1970s - times when people were expected to look out for their own safety and take personal responsibility for their actions. For those too stupid to look where they put their feet, you could always put up a handrail on the wall on the right as you go up the stairs....

    I couldn't resist checking this one out!!! 1993 Murders

    We had just moved to Edinburgh and heard it on the local radio Forth 1 - we though it was odd hearing about Oxford up there. We thought the chances of it being our old home were very slim.

    My parents were in Oxfordshire at that time and they rang me up to tell me it was all over the local news channels and had we heard about it?

    Apparently, he tied to kill his first wife in Thame in the 1960s

    Freaked us right out:eek::eek:

    It must have been a 70s thing as my ex's parents did the same in their new build house. I hated going up those stairs:eek:
