    Second Anniversary
A bit harsh, far more likely the previous residents weren't physically capable of looking after it.
I was more questioning the pretentiousness of an estate agent that would actually write something like that.

Second hand up for green carpet. A new(ish) one in the lounge that has a wonderful sofy feel underfoot (probably down to the extra thick underlay). I much prefer green (or just about any other colour) over grey.

I'm sure it can be done tastefully. My comment about being adventurous was partly tongue in cheek. But it occurred to me how rarely I notice it in most of the online residential homes I've browsed or seen posted here recently -other than maybe historical houses decorated very much in period style.

I must admit (as you all probably know) I'm getting heartily fed up of grey. Not that I have anything against grey but.... it really is becoming like living permanently in the midst of a herd of elephants.

And believe it or not, you can get textured rollers to give you the effect of wrinkled elephant hide (or crocodile skin, leather, etc...). Add some background noise of the savannah, and you are all set.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

It's reminding me of the house with the Zebras emerging from the wall that someone posted a link to the other day....:)

But you rarely see green carpet in even the most adventurous homes...

The green carpet isn't the worst in that house though. The stair carpet is quite mild, and even the room carpet could be okay in the right setting.

Even the blue room carpet could be okay in the right setting. Just not with that wallpaper, those curtains, and that ceiling.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • Unlikely to have problems with the neighbours here, but less than 3 miles from the railway station.

Only 3 receptions, 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the main house though.

    Spot the cows.

In terms of location that's pretty much my dream home, unfortunately even if I did find a spare £10 million down the back of the sofa my other half wouldn't go for it, she's not as keen on living in the middle of nowhere as I am.
