that place is truly in a time warp. look at the old black rounded light switches!

To be sold by Auction: Starting price - £220,000 (Reserve price is higher & unpublished)

We fitted some like those (fours and singles, but in brass) at our last-but-one house in 2012 :D

It'll be interesting to see the hammer price for that.....

You're right. Ah, those were the days!
(Soon be heading back to them now! :undecided)

:):) Though have to say I still like overhead grills. So much easier to keep an eye on what's going on. Such a shame they're out of fashion.

Yes, do you know what they sell for on Ebay

They would definately be on my keep list!

Absolutely. We had a couple when we first moved to our previous (late Victorian) house. I SO wish we'd kept them when the electrics were updated. Kicking myself in retrospect.

I won't send the link to my mum as she will be jealous of the number of books and upset that probably all the books will be dumped

Doorsteps in Harrow don't know what a floorplan is

Apologies edgex, I do not understand.
That magnificent property is somewhat north of Harrow, on the Isle of Bute; or it was when I posted it!
Or is my ancient Scots-English in need of an update?:)

"Doorsteps in Harrow" - Err. Could it be what folk in Watford call certain folk just up the road from them??
    Help!
