Looks like there may have been a 'herb farm' in the loft prior to repossession.

How can many properties on RM at this end of the scale be described as "detached", Davesnave? RM/many EAs are incompetent. I have seen numerous mid-terraced properties thus described. Talk about "Caveat emptor".
Have you seen the, erm, facility on RM for the general public to correct their listings? Yeah, we should all work for free...0 -

Yes well, when it was on at £130k it wasn't a ruin!Work recommenced in 1945 but was not finally finished until 1957- when it was opened by the then Minister of Health Enoch Powell, who later went on to give the infamous Rivers of Blood Speech.
Despite its name - the Water Tower - the building was actually built as a chimney, not a water tower at the old hospital. It is thought to be one of the last of its type that was ever built.
Its completed construction after the Second World War means that it was probably one of the latest power houses commissioned prior to the nationalization of electricity supply and such structures were characteristic in providing power to large institutions, which in this case was Balderton Hospital.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

It could be a decent house, if you don't mind such an overlooked back garden that is!
But I'd be offput particularly by the thought of having to buy my own garage back off whoever it has (presumably) been sold to.
I guess that's the story of what happened, ie that an impecunious house-owner first sold the garage to someone else in an attempt to keep the rest of the house and then lost it anyway, despite that.0 -

Personally, I'd be doubtful anyone who drove a Land Rover Freelander Mk1 could make a sensible decision about anything. The Kilmarnock Willow in the front garden just confirms that.0
