Is it just me or does anyone else find these miniscule splashbacks eg. pic 15 ugly & pointless? Just tile it all or don't bother.
They might be ugly but they're definitely not pointless. Our downstairs loo has a tiny sink which is virtually impossible to use without some some splashing, that pair of tiles is sufficient to intercept most of the splashes.0 -

That is not stone cladding, it is reconstituted stone or even real stone as the house is in the CotswoldsIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

One of the neighbouring houses is a brick built property joined to a 'stone' one, hence my reason for thinking it's merely cladding but you could be right.
I've nothing against stone construction and it can look beautiful on the right property but on a bog standard modern semi like this it looks very out of place.0 -

My hometown has many 18th/19th century building constructed from locally quarried limestone. Over the past 20 yrs all new buildings (and there are a lot) which are within the town centre and now the "outer" town centre and outskirts seem to be built of reconstituted and possibly real stone. The finished effect blends in well and looks far better than brickIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Oh, It's Cotswolds Stone construction,
Common for the location, it may even be compulsory finish for planning purposes. Most doors and windows in the neighbourhood are done in Cotswold green colour, that's still growing on me after a few years in the area.0 -
Spot the tiger...and if you can see a tiny speck of dust anywhere, you have a better magnifiying glass than me, it's spotless....considering!!

It's curiously sterile. Between keeping that lot clean and trimming the topiary, I wonder if they have time to do anything else with their lives?0
