This stylishly decorated house is near me. I knew the owner was odd, but had no idea the decor was this bad. At least we now know where the ex went - she's in the sarcophagus on the landing. :eek:

It's difficult to see due to the style of the sink but I think the second one may well be a reasonable depth. Either option is better than the more conventional but tiny sink in our downstairs loo, impossible to wash your hands without splashing the wall/floor.0 -

I once lived in a signalman's cottage - trains passed within inches of the lounge wall. The one issue was that when the high speed pendolino came past (dozens of them on the west coast mainline) the air rush used to literally suck every drop of warm air out of the house while simultaneously sucking in cold air from outside - I once watched a thermometer in the lounge drop from 21 degs to 12 in seconds. We tried to solve the problem but bar hermetically sealing the floors and roof space - there was nothing we could do...we moved...0 -
