And a couple of creepy teddies!
Until you get to the picture of the gym the house looks like a Chapel of Rest.0 -

I lived for many years in the city where apart from looking straight up the furthest you could see in any direction before being screened out by buildings was about 50 yards. I now live with separate mountain ranges to two sides and the sea to another. I still find it very rewarding to be able to see an horizon caused by the curvature of the earth and having distant peaks as a backdrop to the view.

I was suggesting an unimpeded view of around 2 miles is the optimum for "seeing stuff going on," while everything beyond that is background. A beautiful background, such as you describe, is well worth having. In the UK, it comes at the price of less clement conditions if achieved via extra height above sea level.
When I lived on the edge of Exmoor long ago, it was in the sort of moorland landscape where that property is set. The view to the middle distance was samey and boring, despite the fact one could see Dartmoor on a clear day.0 -
Huh???? They can't really have a wall like they - errr....can they?
Did a quick "trip" on Street View and found a wooden fence up at the front of one house with "No parking" painted on it in big letters. Then a corner house that had a fence all round the front of it.
I guess they can then....it's just a rather "odd" street in that respect....:cool:0 -

They're taking over the house! Spindles look a bit sparse on that staircase too.
I do love this thread, but I wonder whether any of the owners have ever found their own house featured? You could be mortified depending on the comments!0 -

Auctioneer's Note
"Due to the immediate riverside proximity each cottage has provisions in place in respect of water ingress."
In plain speak that would be, "Look out, it floods here and there's begger-all anyone can do about it!" as people local to the area already know.
Cute, and all the fish you can eat, but it comes at a cost.0 -

Not to mention the row of soft toys along the foot of the bed and across the top of the wardrobe! Gosh, and I thought our house was cluttered! Where's The House Doctor when you need her?0 -

It isn't everywhere that you could potentially catch fish while sitting in your living room with your feet up.0 -

I thought that was just where the first photograph hadn't come out properly and had cut off two thirds of the picture, but it may be a wall on a second look. If so that's horrendous.0
