LOL, wait til you see the size of the repair bill going by the state of some of those rooms in the photos
I thought "Looks like a lot of water has been leaking into some of those rooms". But, actually, one could always live in the smaller house and think that that price was an okay one to pay for just smaller house and all that land.0 -

True but even if the cost for all repairs and a high quality refurb hits half a million (I haven't a clue what the prices would be for a property like this so I accept I may be way off), the total price is still reasonable.
The property below is the closest comparable one I can see in that area and is listed for 1.1 million but it has only a fraction of the amount of land and is IMO a less attractive building.

Not sure if I'm missing something but it seems fine to me. The decor isn't to my taste but it does suit the property and location.0 -

Name dropping like mad in the description - 'Notting Hill by the Sea' :cheesy:0 -
I'm sure quite a few horror movies started off with families arriving at properties like this, saying things like "It's a bit isolated" "What a charming old place" plus "And it's surprisingly affordable".
Only jesting. It looks brilliant.:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

listed building, your £500k will get you very little.
13,000sq ft (1181 sqm) at about £1k per sq m for a decent historic renovation of the main house, you're looking over a million for the renovation, Its not a bad price, buts a money pit.0 -
