It was sold to the current "developers" by an insolvency company when the previous owners went bankrupt which is probably a portent of things to come. There are major restrictions on what you can do to it as it is Grade II listed due to it being "a substantial early C19 villa retaining early character and detail", has major problems with access to the A487 (which, of itself, will cost a considerable sum to fix) and has even become a known* site as a bat roost.

* In the real world, "known" can be a lot more expensive to sort out than "unknown".

If you still want to chase your rainbows though, it's probably best to do some searches around the phrases "chalky pachyderm purchasing", "buying a pig in a poke", "money pit", "bargepole" and "bubble bursting." :cool:

Similar in pic 15 if you get that far! I love that one of the captions says 'Unfortunately the art goes with the artist' - I think that's a plus point!
