Errrm...actually I think it is useful - as it shows "We recognise that even a single person may have a lot of clothes and be wondering just how to store them".
I didn't think that house looked bad actually - though I was gasping at the price - even from my "expensive part of the country" viewpoint.
To me - that house comes over as "Never underestimate the expectations/hopes of someone even just buying their starter house - as they may be hoping/planning on a LOT more than this" and that's a positive imo.
That's the thing imo - sometimes people will accept "not a lot" and then there's others that have firmly in mind that whatever-house-it-is is a "stepping stone" and are planning on rather more if they can (and that includes being able to get all their clothes now - rather than waiting until a "further stage up the road" house before they can do so - or arent bothered).0 -

My thoughts on how a one bed house in South Oxhey can cost £300k would wear out the poor program that helpfully puts in the !!!s.
For those unfamiliar, Sarf Oxhey is like the Moss Side of Herts. Bordered by very affluent Moor Park and reasonable Watford, but always looked down on as very rough, undesirable, it's where you'd go to buy drugs and get shanked.
I guess the killings there now are just made in the property market.0 -

WOW, the agent has done a great job capturing all the wonderful features of this flat share. This flat has a hob...a sink...even a toaster, can you believe it?!
Don't laugh, it looks like a very nice toaster... I saw an old friend the other day and we were reminiscing about the house where we used to be lodgers. We discovered a tale and then the decomposed body of a mouse in the flimsy toaster. The landlord continued to use the toaster. We didn't...0 -

I wouldnt know which safety hazard to concern myself with first there - the loft ladder hanging in mid-air over the flat or wondering whether one would "take a tumble" from the "mezzanine" straight down into the sitting room (ie with no railings or anything there to prevent it).
It looks nice - but I wouldnt want it as a gift personally.0 -
The main part of Sauf Oxhey still has this rep I think, but not the surrounding bits. They are in the process of ripping the whole damn place down in the next few years and... and... they are even building a Lidl!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
