Lovely - and that fireplace is amazing
But I hope the neighbours all get on:
"We understand the path leading to the garden is under the ownership of this property, though this is also used for access to several neighbouring properties rear gardens. To the rear of this path is an additional shed in need of some repair, that was used as an artists studio in the past.
We understand there is right of way over the garden to cottage no. 9 that gives access to the rear of this cottage"."If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you. "

Yes, but like other strong characters, living with it on a daily basis might prove somewhat taxing!
With cottages, I feel that getting them just a little wonky is fine, as it can make a certain amount of imperfection quite acceptable, but if they are of an age where windows are small, ceilings are low and woodwork is dark, it can feel depressing.
As for the shared paths, that's very common in our small town, which leads to some interesting scenarios when it's Open Gardens Day! :rotfl:0 -

Maybe they only visit on alternate weekends or as arranged by 'Ex' type arrangement!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

Second one reminds me of a bedsit I rented in West Croydon about 30 years ago - although it didn't have as good a view out of the bay window! If I had to move into a studio, I think I'd want something much more modern, and with as many space saving devices as possible - pull down bed / table etc.0 -
