Sorry, I come from a place where those signs, and others, like "Swedes" or "Logs" are very common and more prominent than house names.

I only put up a house name to aid van drivers who are frequently lost. The postman knows where everybody lives!

The hanging hammock thing suggests ferrets to me.

Lovely pets. Their smell is an acquired taste, and it really isn't a good idea for the living room to acquire it!
