Yep - up there in the most expensive part of Glasgow list - there's another house listed nearby and I think it's the bra lady (Malone?) selling it.
The history of the house (22) is fascinating, the original owner was Walter McFarlane of Saracen foundry, the cast iron was exported worldwide and can still be found in places like India and Australia. I recently spotted a balcony from Saracen in CBD of Brisbane.
Glasgow City Council used to use it for weddings until fairly recently.0 -

Oh, hang on, I think it's actually an antiques shop, I've just realised exactly where it is!
I was quite liking the it, the house not the [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE]antiques, until I got to pic 18:eek:.......I was hoping the rail line was disused. Even if infrequent I really would not relish a train passing so closeBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I suspect it's quite likely to be bought by a rail enthusiast, who will be delighted to have the railway so close. I think it's lovely, very tempting to retire and downsize to somewhere like that, although it is a tad remote!0 -

Quite elaborate though. Indeed, somewhat OTT compared with the Bath Circus/Crescent buildings I've been inside.
Glad I don't have to do the dusting anyway!0 -

I prefer Benjamin Zephaniah's "Terror Kid" in picture 4. Seems apt for a house where it looks as if a bomb's gone off.....0 -

...and still there will be people who go and view and then say I didn't realise there would be trains passing just outside!0 -
