Rightmove link fixed - it's the top one
It last sold for £220k, so unless they were builders, it's likely a loss is being made here. Sadly, I know the cost of such a refurb.
Oh and I just noticed - asking price in 2011 was £365,000!
Eventually sold two years later for £220,000...:rotfl:0 -
I was going to submit this as the ugliest house I'd seen in ages, but then I realised the reason it's so bad is because there are no windows on the second floor. This must mean there are Velux roof lights instead, although the 'infant school' floor plan doesn't show any.
I still wonder how/if it meets fire regs and I note that the agent expects "strong interest," although they didn't have anything substantial at their original valuation...

Think it will sell a bit quicker this time. Amazing transformation. If you are prepared to do a lot of decorating there are some bargains to be had!
Wow. That's amazing. The first version looks like a house Liberace would have been happy in. MUCH nicer now.0 -

Sadly, not unusual for some vendors in Wales, who sit there waiting for Godknows. The house we originally wanted there in 2007 never sold. It was overpriced, so we offered 10% less and that was a 'No.'
We offered £260k on another one that had started at £335k several years before, despite being almost uninhabitable. That sold for £240k six or eight months later.
Another one we offered £275k on actually sold for £275k, but that was three years later on, after being marketed for at least 5 years at £375k. I think the owner(s) passed away.
Hence we're in Devon, where someone with a very good reason to do a deal, just took the money and ran....:)0 -
This looks like a nice studio flat:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-38269095.html
except the description says:
"...and has a sleeping area on a cosy cul-de-sac with double bed"
Are they saying you pay £1,950 pcm, but have to sleep in the road?
More subtly, they also mention a "complimentary sofa-bed"...
... do they mean it says things like "you look handsome today."
... or do they mean it's a free gift for you to take away
(... or do they mean "complementary")0 -

"Could be also shared between 3 friends"
I know space is at a premium in London but they'd have to be pretty good friends to share such a small space.0 -

I think they under used 'Dilapidated' in the description"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
