The original owner probably didn't have a helicopter, so the access is only a problem now, when the adjoining landowners see the chance to fleece a developer.
OTOH Mid-Wales: not exactly booming, prices falling, or static at best, needs a borehole not a big footprint, and not even that quaint. Cadw won't be interested when it's flattened, so the two farmers might hope to put enough people off, buy at a knockdown price and re-sell later as a building plot.

That's some pretty niche taste right there.
Think the thing that strikes me most is that there is a set of modern garden chairs in the garden (ie an attempt at stylishness) BUT there's also not just 1 (but 3) very utilitarian garden sheds nearby. All we need is an oil tank sitting there "loud and proud" in the garden in full view to complete the picture:rotfl:0
