The front door is right there, where it should be, but between stone-clad next door and this house is another door. This is closing off the alleyway that next-door need to access their back garden.0 -

They were thinking "We need to advertise this for free on eBay." As eBay needs a price, and because they're not really selling it there, it was necessary to put one up that no one would bid on.
It's standard practice.0
