There will be at least a few "tree huggers" who would rather tend to disagree with that EA's idea of idyllic French countryside living ..."This property is ideally suited for nature lovers and offers good hunting and fishing."
By all means make your Calvados but, assuming you don't have American ancestry, try not to blow away anything that moves just because it's in the countryside! (Unless they are SNP or Plaid Cymru of course!) Ducks for cover

Errrum....I like trees and I like eating game.............. looks like the perfect place.............ducks BTW will never provide you with enough cover;)

To be honest I'd love to know. Seems like a great place superficially.

It is great. We almost bought after many years of intermittent van travel there. Stopping anywhere overnight; even by the river in so many towns is encouraged.
You have to get under the skin before buying anything anywhere, so why not do that in the best country for drifting around in a motorhome?

Though we didn't have access to expat forums when we were travelling.

Edit: I bet you want some dirt, real objections to burying yourself in their treacle-like bureaucracy, rather being free, and roaming about the country in a manner impossible in 99% of Britain?

    Wow! a £404/month reduction :j

German tenant fans will love it.

11 days rent would have bought that 1 bed flat in picturesque Port Glasgow.

    GALLYGIRL

Oh yes...large garden = check. (Well I'm not after the chickens though).

Well, if you find our dream location (and we can both afford it:rotfl:) do let me know.

Yep...forgot to mention...given half a chance I'm veering towards being a foodie. So make that Monday night - Thai restaurant/Tuesday night - French restaurant/Wednesday night -Arabic restaurant.......and so on and so on...

I have people fall back in shock when I start reeling off the level of facilities I've been used to....often followed by an incredulous "...and you moved here?..and I've been there and its nice....". Yep...and I cant afford it..though I'm a local there...:(:(.

Walks off to comment to myself positively about "There are fewer people here:D. There is better countryside here (which, for some strange reason, many people are more prone to throwing litter around in:naughty::doh:) and it is going to remain our modern/secular/liberal "Britain" here regardless of what happens over the rest of my lifetime:D. Swings and roundabouts....saves any risk in years to come of me being arrested for "cracking someone over the head" for trying to tell me how to lead my life in my own country (in accordance with the mores of a more restrictive country)...pessimists 'r us....(I took it very much to heart when a female friend of mine had to leave her own (Middle Eastern) country years back because things were about to go "restrictive" and they did....

For some strange reason, that reminds me that I had better go and do some more Welsh language homework......

I like Carvoeiro, but price reduction aside this house had almost zero appeal from pic 1.
I should have stopped when I saw how close the neigbours were, but no, not me.
Now I'm suffering for my curiosity; & I see no reason to suffer alone.

    great find :T
you do realise you have now started a new category - properties (which are not ex churches) that still contain private chapels :j
bonus points if you can find one in GB rather than in your spiritual home as I assume everyone has them in P?

It doesn't even have a kitchen, although since it's "opposite the world renowned Scott's restaurant" it might appeal to Charles Saatchi ...
