is it just me, or are most of these pictures really weird and disorientating. Particularly Picture 20. Is the picture taken as if we are sitting on the bed? if so why is there a lamp on it?

picture 20 - they sit on the floor, there are no chairs or bed in that room - the lamp is on a thick mat-like object to mark out a "table"
picture 9 - same point as in 120 -
