Still unsure whether I like this next one, but it certainly is something a bit special. Built and lived in by the architect Seymour Harris, but looks a lot different now.
    That bath!
    That lounge!
The whole back wall of the lounge is the where the tv screen is projected. You can just see the centre speaker and the built in speakers either side.

The house also has it's own website which is well worth a look to see how the house has changed over the years.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to build a castle turret in a normal residential street :naughty:

Look at the map/streetview to see how out of place it is.

Also love the stylish extension in pic 7 :D

Also a spot the cat in pic 8!:D

More to the point, my first thought was "Who's nicked part of the garden?". Don't know whether anyone actually has, but it just feels so narrow that I wonder. That would take a LOT of prettifying to look passable.

That's right - build a house in the middle of fields and just look what happens!

    1. 5239 VESPASIAN ROAD Bitterne No 1 SU 41 SW 10/258 II
    2. Mid C19 house built in the form of a circular tower and probably imitating a Martello tower. Built of coursed stone rubble. Tapering towards roof. Moulded cornice with blocks of stone set on top to give the effect of crenellations. Stone string course. Two pointed arches with modern windows inserted. Pointed arched doorcase with trelliswork porch. An unusual adaptation of a Martello plan to a domestic dwelling.

Maybe that's why they are selling it? I know it wouldn't take me long living in that house before I was getting very fed-up with having to "mentally obliterate" all those houses built round me iyswim.

The attraction of a place like that is partly in its unspoilt setting....well it obviously had that once....:(

If I was the owner of this flat I think I would probably have taken the erotic wall art down before putting it on the market...

That's a typical Cov 2 bed terrace sized garden. Nothing nicked from it, though the picture could have had a better angle.

Although the satellite view suggests there's a line of ramshackle sheds down one side of the garden, which may be why they chose to take the photo from there, as the corner of the extension obliterates them.

Having lived in a near-identical Coventry student house though, I agree - the garden's aren't big (and ours looked very similar :o)
