PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. pretty doesn’t = listed, rare or notable does, and iron clad shed =RARE and notable!
Probably shouldn't have demolished our (non-listed) iron-clad shed in the back garden of our last-but-one house then, lol:D
The way EH works with listing properties does seem to be a trifle weird - eg, in our village there are several extremely old and interesting buildings some thatched, some not and the only two that are listed are the shop (understandable as has an original 18th century frontage) and the pub (stone-built, thatched) that actually has little of the original remaining as it burned down/was rebuilt a few years back.....Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

I also like the way the EA has taken a picture of the "view" a high rise, a car park and some scrubland.0 -
Fear for house prices as 'estate resembles giant penis' when viewed from above.
Locals on George Road, Edward Road, and Yeoman Cottages in Hoylake, Wirral, fear potential house-hunters wouldn't want to buy a property in the phallic-shaped area.0
