I think I'd prefer the iron clad shed/bungalow to this one. That beam would drive me nuts.
Me too, although we have a couple of low beams in our Georgian house - one in particular is just above the foot-end of the bed in one of the second floor bedrooms - but at least it's about 5' high, not really low like that one.....still not good if you get up in the middle of the night and forget it's there
That Grade 2 listed iron-clad shed is strange though - why would that be listed, yet our thatched, stone Georgian house isn't?Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Like most of those examples, the listing was discussed in this thread but I can't remember if we ever settled it.0 -

I must have missed that one unfortunately. Funny how houses like this have become a big talking point in the national media the last few days. I bet this has embarrassed a fair few homeowners and I bet the ones featured will see an increase in drive byes and viewings.0 -

It reminds me of many many years ago I was visiting the Mirror printworks in Watford when Robert Maxwell was still alive (that's how long ago it was!). Before the tour we were being wined & dined in the executive dining room and at one end of the room was a mahoosive portrait of Maxwell. I mean it was HUGE, with eyes that followed you around the room. Everyone gravitated away from it to sit at the far end of the table (including me), I felt sorry for the ones that had to sit nearer to it. It really put me off my dinner £2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
