Admittedly the the other houses on the street are semi detached but does being detached really add £120k to the price!! Tempted to ring them up to check as I think £190k would be more realistic.

No price mistake; it's a bit of a rarity, being a true bungalow.
Not many about. I thought I had one, but it turns out mine is some false thing, constructed just to look like one in the fake bungalow boom of the 1970s.

Lovely historic mansion house but absolutely no mention (either in the RightMove listing or the full particulars) that it overlooks Dounreay Nuclear Power Station and that a big chunk of it needs some serious renovation works!

Well, my non-true bungalow is so unbunglow that some don't seem to think it qualifies as one. In fact, it I fear may not even be visible to the uninitiated.
Thrown together in 1974, it still isn't shown on the 1:50000 or 1:25000 OS maps.
Worse still, 100m down the lane are about a dozen 1989 barn conversions, all of which call themselves bungalows, despite the fact that they are 2 storey structures of 'upside down' design. One of these actually has my address, despite the fact that it came into being 15 years after my place was built. Luckily, the people who live in it have an exemplary credit rating.
So, be warned, this is the sort of thing that may happen if you fail to buy a true bungalow. :eek:0 -
Looks like a primary school that I went to......
I would not pay 155k let alone the price they are asking for that house, they are taking the pee! Talk about lack of kerb appeal lolWin's of 2014 so far-Maxfactor mascara, £50 Pizza Express Voucher, Dr Oetker Pizza, Nuby sippy cup :j:beer:0 -

It's gorgeous though and so huuuuuge for that price - love it
Could I put up with overlooking a power station? For that house at that price, quite possibly

London's last £100k property?
Studio is so grim even the estate agent described it as 'horrendous'. However, it could yield £1,000 a month in rent if refurbished.
And spot the puddy tat...

Did anyone see it last night?
They appeared to spend £1m on a semi detached, poorly constructed, overlooked on many angles house last night.
Amazing!0 -
Nope, can't stand that annoying Caroline Quentins patronising sing-song voice. She ruins many a good program.

Amazing!
Yes , I saw it. They didn't mention the attached house much did they ... ?
They kept showing the wonderful views from the cupola, but the wide shots made it obvious it was packed into a fairly dense housing estate on 3 sides...
I wonder what the neighbours thought of the restoration?
Although I love 'restoration' type shows, Restoration Home is pretty much the worst of them - lots of filler (the pair of historians) and Quentin adds nothing beyond saying how wonderful/nice/beautiful the restored house is... give me kevin mcloud or george thingymajig anyday!0
