Yeah my plan is just to cancel before anything gets charged so lets just see if this will be as good as it seems.

There is mention of a cancellation fee for accounts less than 12 months old but I think it may just relate to getting money back of the card although I'm not 100 % on that.

    The fee is £10.

I have used a Cashplus card years ago for spending mostly online when I didn't have a good credit rating and a basic account. I had no problems bar one time when the card would not work in a restaurant as they had some sort of system error.

I will though definitely report back here to let people know how I get on with it.

I'll certainly be querying and questioning them over the phone before I put any money on it and take it abroad with me.

    Cancellation terms here:
Close your Account at any other time. To do this you must write to Customer Services and return the Card cut in half. Note: following receipt of your Card(s) we will wait 10 days for transactions to be processed. Once all transactions and fees have been deducted, any balance on your Account will be returned to you subject to you having provided satisfactory confirmation of your identity and address (where applicable). As this process may take up to 30 days you may prefer to withdraw funds by ATM or by making purchases at a MasterCard outlet. A cancellation fee will apply (see Fees Summary) unless i) the cancellation occurs 12 months or more after opening your Account , ii) we have terminated your right to use the Card or iii) following a change in these Terms and Conditions which would leave you disadvantaged.
