Someone asked for ideas of what to put at candy buffet quite a few months ago. I suggested that in addition to the sweets, they included a little container of toothbrushes and mini toothpaste. I thought it a brilliant idea, but they didn't like it. :(

Try looking up ice scoops and ice tongs rather than sweet scoops.
When we were getting married everything wedding upped the price but we were actually using scoops on the bar for ice so I priced some up for some of the others on the wedding board and they were cheaper than sweet scoops and you can still get silver coated

    Sounds cute.
You could look out for large glass biscuit jars in charity shops or ebay and get those traditional pink and white striped paper bags for the guests to put their treats in.

We got jars from ikea, simply decorated with ribbon tied in bows, the same colour that was used on the favour boxes. We got the sweets from Costco, fredos, chomps, and also cola bottles & love hearts etc. we picked ones we liked, knowing there would probably be some leftover. We got scoops from eBay, along with little paper sweet bags for people to use, which had coloured stripes on in purple (our theme colour). All our guests loved it, young and old alike, and didn't cost much to do. We had the guest book and post box on the same table too as figured then people could write something while they waited for their turn at the sweets! :)

The one we went to a while back had a kids only marquee with tables full of kids goodies and a bucking bull ride and bouncy castle plus lots of other kids stuff and we were never bothered by little brats all day...great idea..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Well, most people already have toothbrushes at home, and they don't really want to be nagged about their dental hygiene at a wedding!

you shouldn't really brush your teeth straight after eating sweets anyway, the sugar softens the enamel so if you then brush your teeth straight away you can do more harm than good. x
