That was our plan - we weren't prepared to pay over the odds nor queue all night, I'm just grateful I was in Paris last week.

Ironically I was in Dubai for most of October, and a colleague bought one back from there (at close to UK retail), I thought him mad back then! Dubai does use the same three-pin plug as the UK, but I'm not sure whether it will have region code issues?

Admittedly I haven't been on a Wii-quest for the past 12 months... it was understandable that stocks would be low last Xmas, as the console was new and Nintendo would be building up production of the unit...

I seem to remember about two/three months ago there were Wii's about (certainly from online companies) and this has been also suggested by others on the thread.

Even if stocks here are low... whats the betting that Amazon DE and FR might be more flexible with their shipping?

Don't bother checking their web site as they are not updating their site. Its warehouse stock only now so you have to call to place an order and only taking orders when stock is in. Hope this helps and hey its 1 less site to check every 60 seconds!!!
