No I paid by PayPal, you can also pay by bank transfer, card or cash on delivery.

Thanks for the heads up everybody, but with just over five weeks until Christmas Day I am prepared to wait to see if they get them in stock. They have a no quibble policy where you can cancel the order and they will return your money.

Having read the advice to try to pick one up in Calais, I thought I'd give it a try - however seems like every man and his dog had decided to do the same - everywhere out of stock and even though we drove out of Calais to other hypermarkets they were completely sold out with no idea when they will be getting any new stock - seems like the UK woes have now hit supplies in France also.

I may just have to resort to buying on Ebay for now.

And yes, ebay will only let you list using paypal.
My standard payments of cheque etc had to be removed before the listing was accepted.

Ebay insist that you offer paypal and paypal only as your method of payment when you tick which methods you accept which this listing does do. However, what you type in the body of your listing is not restricted so there is nothing to stop her typing that in. Of course, if ebay were informed she was doing this they would probably cancel the listing ........;)
