I am doing the same. I will keep on trying and if I manage to get another, will sell it cost price to someone here that hasn't yet managed to get 1.

on play.com the release date for this game is jan 2008.Is it being released earlier somewhere else?

Haven't had time to read all these posts, so if I repeat anything that has already been said sorry. Don't know why I didn't look here before! Have spent all last night and all today bidding on ebay, constantly just missing out, despite upping my "absolutely cannot go higher than £x" a number of times. Now I've read a few of the ebay posts I feel a bit happier that I have missed out on them all. I had tried to order from amazon germany and france but they shut that loophole down on Wednesday I think it was (we didn't decide til Weds night that we were going to get one and had absolutely nooooooo idea of the shortage!) I just have my fingers crossed that it will arrive and that it isn't a scam - did seem legit, but then who knows. Using the credit card should protect me shouldn't it?
Update sunday 18th - had email from wiihome.nl they won't be shipping, have had overwhelming number of orders from the UK and only have limited stock for dutch customers, they ask you to cancel with your credit card as it will take them ages to refund and they have to pay 3% to do a refund. Spoke to credit card co and they can't cancel, but as it is still pending if the retailer doesn't claim the voucher the funds will return to available in a few days. Wii home.nl say they are only a small company and have been overwhelmed with this!
I have also ordered wii play from amazon france, they expect to have stock on Monday and to deliver to me by 29th November, again paid by credit card (55.25 euros so should be around £40 inc delivery, a bit expensive I know, but we want to play together at christmas:o ).

On a slightly different note I also found a site that (alledgely sp?!) will give you a wii free if you get 8 people to sign up for one of their offers. It costs nothing to register, but you have to take up one of their offers, I did easycinema (£7.96 for 4 dvd rentals through the post - no contract no monthly amount, credits last for 90 days), if anyone fancies their chances down this route use this link (http://www.wiihome.nl/) and count as one of my referrers, if I end up with 2 wiis I will sell one for what I paid to someone from here who needs one, although I seriously doubt that they actually have stock of wiis ready for despatch, but you never know!!

someone has just listed a 2nd hand one on amazon in the "with remote" section with no remote for £35 - i nearly fell for it!!!

I saw on watchdog (i think) the other night that the wii shortage is "manufactured".
i think there may be an element of truth in the wait til december?
we will have to see, maybe santa and his elves are working their fingers to the bone!
