Look on eBay (.co.uk) now and you'll find many of the Wiis for sale are in Germany.
So Amazon.de stops supplying them directly to UK customers but it's OK to do this via a German reseller making at least a 50% mark up.

Was just looking out of interest (have mine now, thanks to Amazon stock the other day, got delievered yesterday and wow, young n old everyone thinks its great) and Amazon just had 2 in stock. Put one in my basket as BIL wants one and then came up with message about now out of stock. So people are still up and about refreshing for them.
When i looked earlier tonight (about 40 minutes ago) they were £299+ as Amazon didnt have any stock and then as ive just said they were back to £179.99 as there was Amazon stock.
For those of you that find any expensive bundles that you would prefer not to have and only want the basic £179.99 package with sports, you may be interested in doing what a lady on this site has done. The shop she was in who had the bundle, she asked them if they had basic bundle and when told no she threatened them about mis selling or some term was used and so they backed down and let her have the wii with sports for £179.99 (the normal going rate). Her argument was that they were putting games with the basic bundle to up the price and kind of force people to buy packages they would prefer not to just to get the console. (Please search for the posting to get full details of how she did it, if you are interested, although im not quite sure how you would search that.)0 -

Well i hope you do get one as they are so worth it. I have to say, (sorry to those that have been after one of these for so long and still havent got) that it was only about last weekend that i decided to look out for one and get one. Luckily a couple of days later i was on Amazon about 7pm when they had some and it got delivered yesterday. So ive not had the wait and chasing that some people are having. Our gamestation shop in town said they had 30 delievered in the week and they were gone in no time. So dont give up they are still about.
The only console we have ever brought was a megadrive about 15 years ago which i think cost £199 way back then. Other than that (still sits in cupboard upstairs as it happens) we have always used the PC as ive not seen the point in getting a console when you have a PC. Well with the interactiveness of this Wii and the fun excersise side of it thats what made my mind uo for me and it really is such a great new idea that works really well. Hang on in there.0 -
Thanks to all those that gave me the confidence to get a Wii (Sports) from Germany. It has arrived and am off out tomorrow to get an adapter. What I would like to know is what else I need.
Have done a search on the boards, so please don't flame me!
Should I get Play, if so where from. Someone said about a recharger, and getting another Nunchuck?
