Well Nintendo have said they have a shortage, as reported by the BBC. As for pontificating, please look up the definition.

No this isnt a fact, its alledged. As it would be illegal for Nintendo to do this.

my dear fwhorn. i suggest you go back and re-read the thread. there are people on this very forum that have copied emails sent from amazon.de stating that EXACT reason why they have stopped mailing to the UK.
are you suggesting they are lying?

as for the use of the word pontificating, then, I stand by my original use of the word.

now, can we please get back to the purpose of this thread. if you want to continue berating me, then please, private message me. the people of this forum come on to save money, not read your PONTIFICATING.

Well not sure I am going to bother with Wii. Had my kids friends round and they did not rate it ! Said lack of games and soon became bored with wii. Great fun for the first hour or so, but they would not swap it for their PS3 it which they felt was far better.

I did a bit of research and found quite a few comments with games or lack of interesting ones. X box 360 has most games but does not appear that reliable hence why there are so many versions.

I also discover my kids can use their PSP's as controlers for PS3 and with a blu ray palyer for my HD TV added to the fact the wii is now as expensive as a PS3 I think I'll go for the PS 3.

i missed out a lot of words when I was writing that, and honey, intelligent wasn't actually one that springs to mind.

as for the math, go and do the research. doing "the math" is another way of saying "go figure", or "you work it out". I would have thought as you believe your own hype, you would have worked it out without prompting.

now. wii's are already in stock in doncaster toys r us. they were at 12.45pm today when I was talking to my friend Emma who works there.

tbh, i think it depends on the age of the kids.
my kids love their wii, but mine are 7 and 3. my 3 year old actually beats me at the golf and baseball on the sports game. :mad:

as for the lack of games, as i said earlier, nintendo are increasing the games in the next 2 months by more than double the current catalogue, and i would be surprised if you didn't find lots for your kids to play. it's a great machine and i would recommend it to anyone, anywhere, of any age. :T

Freetime30, I bow to your superior knowledge. The BBC must have misquoted Nintendo when they said that there is a shortage. LOL. Give my regards to Emma who works at toys r us, does she work in the warehouse that is full of Wii's? LOL.
