i wouldnt buy one off ebay even if it meant ds not getting one for xmas.
ds aged 12 has already said to me 'dont pay over the odds for one off ebay'
I agree. I would rather go without than buy off e Bay. I see no differnce in this than ticket touts! I hope a load come out before Xmas and the people trading on E bay end up making a loss!0 -
I was just watching one, it was the basic package (£175) and it got to £230 but didn't sell as the reserve wasn't me - how greedy is that!!!
I shall read this thread from the very start & try again - thank you all very much!

Hi everyone,
I had a wii back in Feb but sold it because i didnt use it and bought a PS3 but have realised wat a mistake i made. I am now frantically lookin one and will be outside toys r us at 6am tomorrow in Coventry to make sure i can get one. I rang Game today and they said, please do not ring again until mid december.
Really hope i can get one - it will be freezing.0 -
Just a thought on people saying come December there will be loads released by Nintendo. Most cosoles Wii,360 and the Playstation 3 dont make money for the manufacturers, the money is in the games. So to hold them back loses them money, as a customer will spend their money on something else which may even mean buying a different console, thus losing that customer and potential sales for years. Nintendo have stated that they have a global shortage, not that they have loads coming through the system and that there is no need to panic.0

however, they also have 130 games to to be released in the next 5 months, and according to our local game store, there are 80 new games in the next 5 weeks.
i can assure you, (phone the head offices yourself to get proof!) woolworths, argos, game etc, ALL have the wii's in their warehouses. they have been told they are NOT to release them until 1st week in december. this also goes for toys r us and other major retailers.:j Coupon Queen:jSaved £3880 since Feb 05 stopping nicotine!!!Spent £3880 on shoes & bags since Feb 05!!!!0 -
Just been down to Toys R Us in Stoke on Trent and spoke to one of the managers there.
They are getting an overnight delivery of of nintendo wii consoles. They ain't too sure how many they're getting but should be fair few. He said he's had a lot of people asking about them and expects there to be big queues, but they will be sorting out people on a first come-first served basis and issuing tickets to people in the order of the queue.
He also reckons one bloke said to him he'll be going down there for around 1am with his tent!! :rotfl:
Hope this helps0 -

I've got an order on another German site which takes credit cards and ships to the UK BUT they are out of stock and I placed the order after confirming with them that I could cancel at any time before they came into stock.
Minute I get an email from them saying they are in stock and dispatching I will let everyone here know!
Go on tell us - whats the website ???0 -
