  • I have a friend going to the US for a few days tomorrow. Is there any point in asking them to look out there? Whats the compatibility like?
    Thanks.

I personally wouldn't bother - they work on NTSC and not PAL so will not work on all TV's here. Also European games won't work in them.

someone i know has bought two from the usa.
they stand in the playground at school saying how they have bought 2 from the usa for their twins, and have spent £250 in toys r us on games eachfor them here in the uk.

oh what a happy christmas day they are going to have when they don'twork. they have been told about the pal/ntsc difference, but they don't believe it.
    oh dear.
  • hehe I am afriad the problem is not the ntsc/pal, cuz they can get it fixed in a store to be a multifunction nintendo wii.. I would be worried about the electric feed.. see if the wii was deisgned for the usa that would be 110 volts i think but here its like 220 volts yeh big problem unless you use a transmeter.. now if you dont and blog it in yup it would be an amazing christmas lol
  • it's their problem!
they have been told about the problems with buying in the usa, but they think the person who told them is just being snooty because he hasnt got a wii.
the person in question bought one from argos yesterday! he's laughing now!
