like i said, ethical difference of opinion. i think it's a bit tragic that you need to abuse the system to make money. this forum is about money saving and helping each other.not about screwing fellow PARENTS who want the toys for their kids this christmas. yes, ethics do come into it, and i am maybe in the minority that don't copy cd's etc etc. i like to live my life the RIGHT side of the law. shoot me!

I expect my comments to receive a whole load more abuse but i personally i think you're being a little unfair to the person who says they sell reservation codes on ebay for £10. Who are you to judge this person, berate him/her.

So they sell the codes for £10, i personally think theyre doing us parents a service, because lets face it £10 extra on top of the normal cost of a wii, is worth my sanity and hardly a con or a scam if it means my kids get a wii for xmas. And that seller is hardly making mega bucks selling codes for £10.

The people selling wii's on ebay for £300-400 a time are the ones abusing the system, as are those who buy the codes, to then go and buy a wii to sell on at inflated prices elsewhere.

You're entitled to your opinion and i respect you for it, But don't judge others on the morals or whether they do or don't abuse the system.

To be frank your post comes across as if you're attacking the person a little, especially carrying on commenting on it. I'm not saying you are being but thats how it comes across.

do you not think that to take information from this site, to use for your own financial gain, is at best questionable?
    .

Not questionable at all. There is a forum for "Up Your Income" and loads of threads regarding make £10 a day - or make extra money for Xmas etc. This site is about being sensible with money and keeping debt free - or clearing debts. Personally the Wii trade I have done this month has saved me having to take out a loan which is not something I do lightly. Next month I'll need to find another way to cover a second mortgage - and maybe even the month after whilst I wait for a very slow court process to evict some scumbags who think they can live rent free in my rental (pension) property.

I'm happy to share with people where I buy my Wii's from. Have shared the information by posting it on other forums but the people who buy them from me on Ebay seem happy to just pay over the odds rather than doing a bit of searching. Oh and many of them are young couples buying for themselves rather than their kids!
The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j
  • i ordered one a couple of weeks ago on play, however it was out of stock, i didnt cancel my order, and this afternoon i checked it and the status has now changed from "awaiting stock" to "packing" woo hoo looks like ive got one !!

There was another alert for Amazon a few minutes ago, but by the time I got there nothing. I reckon there's some power-hungry teenager sitting in Amazon releasing a few at a time and having a good laugh at everyone rushing to try to get one!!
  • just got one for ebuyer at £300 so i'm going to sell the weel and driving game that came with it.

I seen that alert as well and it had gone. I had the "stock alert" thing on all day in work and each time it came up they had gone!

I'm beginning to wonder if whether or not some of these "alerts" are real!

Anyway after today stressful searching online I'm going to do what I did the other year for the PS, call my local smyths store and see when there are getting them in and line up like everyone else. Oh and pay £179.99 for it, if I manage to get another then I will gladly sell it for RRP.
