Sparky1664, are you saying the prongs are too thick to fit inside the 3 pin converter or are you attempting to fit the prongs inside the toothbrush charger unit which has two pin connection of some sort in hope this would substitute the need for a converter altogether? Your toothbrush charger unit will only accept the type of pins which are found on your toothbrush which may be smaller in diameter that the European 2 pin plugs. If it can’t fit inside the 3 pin converter you bought it must be the wrong type of converter.

That's probably it - there is a difference in pin spacing between European plugs and UK 2-pins intended for use in a shaver socket. You can get UK 3-pin to shaver-socket converters, some of them also take EU plugs.

I am wondering if he bought a shaver adaptor used to connect the UK two pin shavers, toothbrushes etc into 3 pin socket like this one:

What you need is a Euro 2-pin to UK 3-pin instead which markeybhoy75 is showing above.

Nearly stuffed my UK shaver by trying to bung it in a euro socket some time ago. Now I use a euro to 3-pin with a 3-pin to shaver - one of these days I'll buy a euro shaver...

Have just tried to order one from Amazon.de but at the end of the order proccess it say the following (translated using an online translator)

So does this mean that Amazon.de have stopped sending to the UK?

Are you in a particularly obscure place, or just normal mainland UK? There should be no reason why they would not post to the UK?
