  • For those of you still looking for a Wii keep an eye on the John Lewis website this morning - looks as if they're adjusting there packages which normally means some will be available.
  • Quick everyone, there are wii's available on a strange site called amazon.de.

You'll have to be quick 'cos they've only got 1000's in stock and you'll have to be patient because they take less than a week to deliver.

Unfortunately, you won't be lining any greedy re-sellers pockets either because they're selling them at only £173.50 AND you have to pay a wopping £4.18 for secure delivery through DHL!!!

Ordering on the web site is incredibly difficult, you have to actually look past the last few posts on this site to find detailed instructions or go all the way to the amazon.de website itself to find the phrase "Information for English speaking customers". It's so complicated.

To make things worse, you get an extra years warranty!!! That obviously means that they're sub standard and are expected to break.

If I hadn't already bought one myself, I'd be much happier running from shop to shop chasing rumours and constantly phoning local shops on the off chance of catching a misplaced wii. Either that, or I'd pay some bloke £300 on ebay for a wii he bought earlier on amazon.de

  • This is my first post so be gentle..
This store is showing as having some in stock (you have to add to basket to check). A little pricey for a wii and Zelda at £245.

What is it with people ranting about cutting and pasting a bit of info.

When threads become large and people are new to them it can be daunting when you think you might have to go through every page.

It's simple if someone asks a question about amazon.de then either answer them or don't but all these whiney little comments are far worse than anyone asking a question no matter how many times its been answered already.
    Nice to save.

read further down the page....it says

"Unfortunately due a global shortage of Nintendo Wii's it is unlikey that we will be able to fulfil any new orders in time for Christmas. Due to this inconvenience, we have now reduced our Wii consoles bundles by £15"

Yea I was in B&Q and saw the ones at a pound and they are the type you plug the two prongs into (travel adaptor, in fact I bought one for to place in my travel bag), I would prefer the permanently connected so to speak for my Wii (less chance of it getting lost)

Err..B&Q £1 seems cheaper to me (see last two posts)

What? It's more daunting reading through a few back posts than constantly trawling the web or phoning round searching for non existant wii's from Argos or Toys-r-us or Tesco or 'god forbid' ebay???

No, asking the same question over and over again is far worse because it gets the people who are trying to help incredibly frustrated and stops them from wanting to help in the future.

P.S. Whiney little comments about whiney little comments are probably about as low as you can get.

The one I got was the secure type where the three pin plug opens up and then closes around the two pin plug, not a travel adaptor.
