Ok I have tried to help everybody with a previous posting about buying from amazon germany & france but for some reason you all seem to be a bit wary about buying abroad even though a lot of you seem desperate.
Well you are all probably even more wary about Ebay but for those of you who arent I have had a good look around and found this guy selling them from Portugal. This guy has 100% feedback and if you read it you will see nearly everybody saying how fast the shipping is. The good thing about this is because like yourselves people are wary about buying abroad they are not going for silly prices like the ones in the UK. He charges £30 postage and you can get them on average for £200 winning bids. He has a reserve of £189 and a lot have gone for that, dont forget this is EXACTLY the same console you would get in the UK and you still have your warranty directly with Nintendo. Have a good look at his feedback.

Agree, there is absolutely no need to pay £260-£270 for a console which is identical or £130 for Argos reservation code according to some comments. Don’t be discouraged to have a go at German or French Amazon because you are getting the console for £180. I have used German Amazon many times before and never had any problems (if anything it is safer then E-bay).0 -
just want to reiterate what other posters have said about amazon (germany) i ordered a wii for last christmas for work and got it within 3 days and ordered 2 this year for people at work for there childrens christmas. honeslty you cant go wrong, let the greedy people buy the ones on ebay for silly prices and be safe in the knowledge you have your kids present already sorted for a reputable supplier.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

Just a couple of questions about the german amazon - what is the postage for the console? Is the packaging/instructions standard i.e. in english?
Also thought I'd mention that I ordered through Studio24 - phoned them to check stock - stock arriving end november but absolutely no guarantees about delivery - people have been reserving since september so little chance of getting one if they are just accepting any number of reservations and its a 1st come 1st served basis.
Good luck to everyone in getting one! If we don't we're on plan b - a lovely traditional goldfish in a bowl!0 -
The whole deal comes to under £177 so im guessing the postage is about 6 euros.
I dont know what you mean about packing instrucions.0 -
how about the warantee should you have any problems , if you buy from germany ? can you send back to uk amazon or will it have to go to germany ?0

The warranty from Euro consoles is valid in the UK. Many UK retailers actually sell Euro consoles. There is nothing different apart from the Euro 2 pin plug.
The warranty is with Nintendo so if it needed a repair it would go to them.0 -
With proof of purchase, Nintendo have to honour the warranty. You can go on the Nintendo website and register your Wii, if you do this they give you an extra 90 day warranty on top of the 1 year one that the console comes with!! From wii preorder
