I ordered a Wii bundle from Dixons yesterday and another today for my sister. Worked fine. Just get one in your basket and keep it there. Then keep http://www.wii-consoles.co.uk/wii_console_realtime.asp open and wait till it pops up saying ther is stock at Dixons.

Used Quidco and the 5% off code and my egg card. Bought the £259 bundle so got free delivery (over £250). Charged £246.99 and Quidco tracked at £6.17. Not sure if the Egg 3% will work.

No if you are going through Quidco you can't go through Egg, has to be one or the other.

Just ordered one from Amazon for 252.80 euros including p&p. I need to get a power adapter - can anyone confirm whether the plug itself is the normal two-pin slim plug or a big fat adapter? I'm wondering if this would be suitable as an adapter:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Euro-Plug-Converter-Adaptor-2-Pin-to-UK-3-Pin-5A-BS1363_W0QQitemZ200168807257QQihZ010QQcategoryZ96942QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    That adapter will be fine.

You have an option of DHL overnight delivery for 12 euros but the standard delivery is about 6 euros or £4.00 which is remarkable because you will pay much more getting it delivered within UK using Parcelforce. The standard delivery takes about 4 days.

Console instructions come with multiple languages and English is one of them.

I emailed Nintendo about stock shortages and the frustration of getting hold of one without paying rip off prices

    Heres the email
Dear Customer, thank you for your e-mail.
Nintendo are currently making deliveries bi-weekly into the UK but I do not have any details as to the volumes or store distribution. Try this link - http://www.nindie.com/products.php?category=HWII - to the wholesaler that supplies the independent retailer and search for a local store near you. They may be able to order one for you.

You may also like to try checking this site http://www.wiigamereviews.co.uk/, as it has up to date information on which stores currently have stock.
    Kind regards,

  • Hi Guys,
I have been trying to get a wii for my girls xmas pressie for a while now and thought I was going to be able to get one from the Argos in Rotherham but no-one can pick it up for me so if anyone can make use of the reservation number then I will let the person who pm's me first have it.
It is just for the Rotherham store until close of business today but car trouble  means the journey over the Pennines to get it will be impossible so someone might as well benefit!:T

I will be in and checking my pm's until just before 3pm.

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped when I started doing it to them at funerals :p

I'd be interested to know if its a UK model supplied with a 3-pin plug.
  • Just to let others know that someone has got the reservation number now so I hope they get their wii!!

It is from Austria so will have an euro plug. An euro to uk adaptor is a few £s. Warranty is obviously invalid as the consoles modified.
