You know what? Im on a waiting list with 2 stores though I dont hold out much hope, I can honestly say that if I was lucky enough to get both I will offer the other to anyone who needs it for exactly what I paid.

Just open up the www.wii-consoles.co.uk website! There have been three stock loads come in since about 10pm this evening. That is the only website you need, have the old credit/debit card by the computer and when it pops up that they have stock buy one - exactly what I did :D Bought on Monday and it was with me Wednesday morning.

wont let me post link for some reason
  • Has anyone else got the wii hunt bug? I managed to reserve 2 on Tuesday for my friends, I don't want 1, but promised a friend I would have a look for her, by pure luck in the early hours, not able to sleep I managed to do just that. It was through this site that I learned all the tricks.

Yes, I could have bought both of them and made good profit on ebay, but I have a heart. I was soooo happy that 2 kids would wake up on Christmas morning and be sooo excited they got what they asked for and mummy/daddy did not pay over the odds for it.

Now, I have heard of other people looking for them and I am on searching for them. Maybe I will be lucky, and if I am, the will get the reservation codes.

Thank you MSE for helping me help others.

  • ebaybaby...don't give up, there is still plenty of time & stock is still coming through daily.

I managed to get one after 4 days of constant trying...but it arrived today.

If I can do it, anyone can as I am quite slow on the keyboard.

I have just sent you a PM.

    Good luck.

Im a huge Ninty Fan (always have been) but I cant help thinking that this ridiculous stock shortage of Wii is a cynical marketing ploy......

Apparently, Nintendo claim that it's going to be at least another 12 months before they can ramp up production enough to meet demand.

    BBC News 25/10/07
Demand has been so high that the Japanese firm has had supply difficulties. It is thought that it will take another year before the firm can ramp up production to meet demand.

you really needed to say that ?
catch a grip, if people on ebay are willing to pay over the odds then more fool them, if it didnt sell i wouldnt buy it. I started looking for wii's on monday morning and i have had no problem at all finding them, i even posted here on this thread where had them.
I dont have any spoilt kids and im not stupid enough to pay over the odds for anything, hence why i am a member of the MONEYSAVINGEXPERT site, because i like to save money, not waste it.

You have come onto a forum full of people all struggling to find Wii's and exclaim that you have found a source (that it appears that others have provided for other altruistic motives) and are profiteering from others' desparation; do you really wonder why some didn't appreciate your post?

Not everyone has the time or energy to scour the internet at 2am, ironically those that don't will more than likely be those that are in greatest need (those with young children).

As you said, it's the Money Saving Expert site, not the Money Exorting Expert site...

Hi, i have been looking for a wii for my children for xmas and as i work for Asda i asked a manager on entertainment to let me know when one comes in.

I went to town on tuesday and found one in woolworths Brighton western rd which somebody had not picked up so asked them to hold it for the rest of the day due to kids being with me, TYPICAL!

I got a phonecall while still in town from my friend saying that Game had 18 consoles in. So i think it is just a case of going around every shop and just ask. Me and my friend both brought a console from Game which is just as well as Asda Brighton have been told they will not get any to the new year. Good luck to you all but don,t panic yet.
