My little boy will be v.v.v.v. happy on Xmas Day.

Well lucky me.
I have been given the task by my father in law to get a Wii for his friend.
Anyone have a code for the North East let me know please.
I was calm and kinda prepared for christmas, until 30 minutes ago when he called me. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -

Your right, they are regionalised. American games won't work here.
And yes you can chip them, though AFAIK it requires a bit of soldering. I believe they are called wiikey. I do not know how legal they are because they do sell them on uk websites.
I've taken the plunge and ordered from this site, he had 13 in stock at one point and at least one (now mine
) when I ordered.
He's in Austria and wants 5.5% to pay by Paypal, or you can pay the fees to pay by Moneybookers.com (1.9% for credit card).Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Can anyone please please help. I ordered one from Grattan catalogue, thay said delivery in 13 days, and took my money in full, that was on the 3rd of October, I called today and they have told me It probably wont be here before xmas. I can explain this to my 11 year old but Ive got no hope with my 7 year old who thinks Santa can bring anything. Im in the northwest.0

ebaybaby, my advice would be to keep searching for another one - if you do manage to get one, you could then cancel your order with Grattan (assuming this is possible?). As people have been saying - there is stock out there, its just a matter of being patient, and in the right place at the right time.
Have you checked ebay for an Argos reservation code near you? Some cheeky sods are selling them for up to £10, but you don't really lose anything as you'll get a free £10 voucher because you'll be spending over £100. Worth a try?

I would ask them to cancel & issue a full refund then keep a look out for stock updates.
Supposed to be alot of stock hitting the shelves around the 8th of December but keep looking and you will find one i'm sure. I've had the chance to buy 6 on my travels just by popping into a store and asking, worst they can say is no. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0
