Been following this post and reading some of the comments regarding people buying and then selling them on ebay. I really dont see what the problem is with people making a profit, all these people who condem must work for free. You really need to think what you are saying. When you sell your house do you sell it for what you paid for, or what it is worth on a free market? Do you not tip people, because you shouldn't, they are already being paid? If you dont want to pay over the odds on ebay thats fair enough, and I dont blame you, but dont knock someones entrepreneurial spirit.

Of course there are people who are taking the advice of others on here of where is in stock and how to find it and then buying it and selling it on; but when they post that they are making profits amongst people who cannot find them in their area, don't you expect them to take issue?

If they went to China and sourced them and then sold them fine, but this thread was designed to help as many people as possible, not for a few to to help themselves.

And before you say it, it doesn't affect me, I've sourced mine from overseas much cheaper than I could from the UK.

Had an email from HMV saying my card details are wrong.

They used the wrong card details (not what I entered on ordering) and now the Wii has been issued to someone else.

They said to re-order online but they have no clue what so ever when more stock is arriving.

    Back to square one.

    Just received this from HMV

    Dear HMV Customer,

We’re writing to you about your order/s placed today for a Nintendo Wii Console.

Firstly, we would like to inform you that we do not currently have sufficient stock to fulfil all orders taken today. If you have not been successful in obtaining a Wii, we will email you early next week. Your order will remain active unless you chose to cancel it, and will be supplied to you as and when we have sufficient stock.

Secondly, as I am sure you’re aware, stock of the consoles is extremely limited at the moment, and so in high demand. In order to give everyone a fair chance of obtaining a console, we are going to limit all orders to 1 per customer at this time. Once stock becomes more readily available, we will lift this restriction.

We have therefore taken the following action on your order/s:
    • If you have placed more than one order we have cancelled any orders which take your total order allocation over 1 unit. If any orders have been cancelled, you will receive an email confirming the cancellation.
    • If you have placed an order for more than 1 unit, we have reduced the quantity on this order to 1 unit only.
To confirm, customers will only be supplied a maximum of 1 unit only. Please accept our apologies for any

I have just rang HMV and the girl I spoke to said they did get some in this morning but they were all given to people that had them on order before this morning. When I asked when i would get mine she said she didnt know as there are hundreds of orders and she cant find out where i am in the queue.
