summer you won't get one from Virgin - they even have a prerecorded message on customer services to that effect. I rang Waterloo too your best bet is game in town they get a note every morning at 9 that tells them whether they will get any at 11. Stupid me on wed. rang up at 10 he said I may get some ring back at 11 - I couldn't and by 12.30 they had all gone. Mind it wouldn't have hurt to put one by after the call at 10, so ring them evry morning at 9 - 9.30 to see if they are expecting any. Also wii consoles is good and right up to date for stock. This morning I happened to be on when some more came into Dixons and they knew straight away.

Thanks patchwork cat. I have made a note of loads of numbers to ring tomorrow. HMV shop told me to keep ringing, so did Sainsburys in Huddersfield. They told me they get stock delivered Mon to Frid and don't know what they are getting till they unload and check it.

Has now supposedly left the depot at DHL.........

I know everyone is in the same boat having problems getting a Wii, but I would be grateful if anyone can get hold on a Wii package and I would either collect if its near or pay for the postage.

Or if anyone can PM when they see any in the Hull, Doncaster, York area I would be greatly thankyou.

I got mine today from Dixons, if you follow the DHL it will tell you when it leaves depot for delivery and it will be that day. Mine left at 8:50 this morning and I had them by 1:00

Try in store in woolies, Some stores have stock, it's a case of finding them.

I also tried ordering from Virgin. Does anyone know how long it will take for the funds to be released back into my available balance? It is showing the Wii order as a pending transaction even though Virgin have cancelled all orders?

have you tried looking at some of the larger/giant Currys branches?
when there was a big shortage about a month back, i found one in the large Currys in Manchester Fort shopping centre (Cheetham Hill) - there were like 10 available then, with zero in all the other smaller Currys/ PC World/ Currys Digital in the surrounding towns.

Otherwise I think you can get them from Amazon.co.uk (the last time I checked) if you can wait that long for delivery (or you could pay them extra for express delivery)

p.s. as for games, i find "wii sports" to be the BEST (it comes with the wii console as standard)
...whatever you do, don't buy warioware smoothgrooves...the microgames are quite silly!
