But Kerrygold haven't given up making it - they just aren't supplying the UK anymore.

Same difference, they will want to know why they are not supplying it to the UK. There must be a reason why they are not.

And I was merely suggesting that Loseley and President might like to investigate other outlets for a product they already produce.

I would have thought they have already investigated that, and the reason they are not doing it is the same reason Kerrygold stopped doing it.

Oh silly me. Inconceivable that in the past the supermarkets may have told them 'we don't need your product we have Kerrygold' I suppose?
  • Wow. Who knew butter was such an emotive subject?

Just wanted to add that I have bought Losely Summer Meadow butter in either Tesco, Sainburys or Morrisons recently.

It's nice but I didn't find it to be particularly easy to spread.

Yes, I think it is inconceivable. Simply because they have not done that with any other Kerrygold product, or any other product from any other manufacturer for that matter.

They didn't tell Branston "We don't want your beans we have Heinz beans", they didn't tell Kingsmill "We don't want your bread we have Waurburtons", they didn't tell Lurpak "We don't want your butter we have Anchor butter"

So why would they do it with a Kerrygold product? Is there a rule that says you can only have one type of spreadable butter on sale?
