Hi
I did weigh myself on Wednesday and, unsurprisingly, have put on a pound so 13st 6lb. Sorry I missed the chart.
Thank you to Fredsnail for the charts, Merry Christmas to all and here's to getting back on the wagon in the new year!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Isn't the body a weird thing - just weighed myself this morning and dispite the recent excesses I am back down to my pre weekend away weight. I don't understand
My gym is now closed until the 2nd Jan  Plan go for lots of walks and probably do some DVD's after Christmas to keep me moving.
I feel really pleased when I look back over this year. Finally feel like I am getting the hang of healthier eating (despite the odd 'binge') and my weight has slowly but consistently moved in the right direction all year.
Thanks to all of you for your support, especially Fred for all of her hard work and keeping me motivated. :T:T:T
And if Eric is 'lurking' hope everything is OK with you. You inspired me and educated me this year - thank you.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and we all have a healthier, fitter and slimmer New Year. :santa2:0 -
Forgot to weigh in first thing on wednesday and forgot yesterday and today. Gonna wait til new year now until i weigh myself properly to see what the damage is and what i have to do next year.
Everyone is doing so well here and i feel like i have let myself and everyone here down the past couple of weeks as i havent been doing very well and have been eating way to much carp. Cant keep blaming the festive period or it being cold for the reason i am eating rubbish, when i know its my fault.
I promise to do better. I need to shift my spare tyre. Hope everyone has a brilliant christmas and new year.PAD Maker0 -
mandz you don't need to feel sorry, I have been doing the exact same as you in the last few weeks. I have completly stopped calorie counting and just eating what I want. The only thing I have kept going is exercise, 1) because I enjoy it and 2) I feel a little less guilty about treats.
I would like to say that next week, maybe even boxing day I will jump back on the wagon, but I know this is not a possibility as the few weeks, even months after xmas my MIL likes to off load all her tins of sweets and treats on to us as she knows we'll eat them (why she buys them in the first place?). But this year there is going to be a firm no. One reason because I want to be healthy and another to save my childrens teeth. They both had to get 2 small fillings each last week and since then all chocolate and sweets have been banned. Any sweets bought for them is saved for once a week when they are allowed to have them. There is already a large stash gathering of selection boxes and chocolate coins.
Have a Merry Christmas everyoneLBM 04/10:j

Havent been here in a long while. I found that posting on here made me 'think' more about food and exercise and then I ended up eating more and blasting exercise as opposed to making a lifestyle change (a bit weird I know). Anyhow, I am a regular swimmer now. Everyone says that you have to make a lifestyle change in order to beat the weight for good and for me it is so true. I go swimming twice a week (at least 50x25m per session) and 1 aqua aerobics per week. I bought the aqua membership which I feel keeps me motivated to go (if Im paying Ill make the most of the membership). Ive dropped 1.5 stone and Im not dieting per se which is great. I feel so much better for the regular exercise and I intend to lost the final half a stone so I get back to my pre-baby weight after crimble.
Happy christmas everyone and thank you for the inspiration!!:money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0 -
Hey all!
Thought I would pop in to say Happy Christmas and thank everyone here for the motivation over the last six months, it was enough just to have somewhere to post progress to keep me on the right track, thanks all!
Current situation, I have been on a maintenance plan for the last month after having started at 14st 6lbs and getting to 11st 3lbs, progress made purely on calories counting with all foods allowed just counted to the gram, (ok also upped the exercise a little). Since moving to 2000 kcal a day I have in fact still lost weight and now down to 10st 13.75lbs which was a surprise and very pleasing.
I am planning to pig out from now until boxing day and then get back to good ways thereafter, I may need to do a few weeks back on the calorie counting treadmill but hey I know I can do it.
Many I say a special thanks to Fredsnail whose tireless efforts keep the Lose Weight threads going and additionally to Jess and Eric (wherever he disappeared to) and all the other contributors.
Have a great holiday and a good new year

I'm back down to 66.2 kg after going up to 66.9 kg on Wednesday. Overall the line still moves downwards oh so gradually, lost 0.4 kg in total since 1st December.
No 'pigging out' for me. It's not something I could ever do. I wouldn't enjoy it, anyway.
We have a 4-bird roast from Aldi, it will cook while we're in church tomorrow morning. I'm going to make cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries, sweetened with Splenda. Then make some sugar-free raspberry jelly with fresh raspberries, half-fat creme fraiche. We have a nice fresh cabbage to have with the roast. We always have scrambled egg with smoked salmon on Christmas morning. We shan't starve, that's for sure. We have plenty of food in.
Here's a nice thought for Christmas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-RAnkH8JxcÆr ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
