*****Lottery Winner ??*****

im interested in winning Lottery ticket buyers , or not as the case may be , please post your winnings and how many tickets you buy as well as length of time you've been buying them , i have a theory that high numbers win larger prizes, id prefer not to make this a discussion area of that arguement but i would be interested in your winnings

just a bit of background on me ... i have 500 premiun bonds and have never won so the lotto is yet another gambling option open to me and are another way of trying to be tax free ... im buying 8 lotto tickets per week on average + £1.50 per week in the work's syndicate

:)

Lots of people use birthday dates, so any group of numbers over 30/31 is shared between less people, thus giving bigger prizes.:)

I usually buy 1 ticket (lucky dip) every saturday. Don't usually bother with the midweek draws unless its a massive rollover.

I've won £10 about 15 times and 4 numbers about 3 or 4 times. I know i'd be better off depsoting £1 in a savings account every week but you never know! My grandad won 5 numbers a couple of years back and that was nearly £4.5k i think.

I only ever buy a ticket at ASDA if it's near saturday and I have a pound in my pocket and there is no queue. So hardly ever. I always get a lucky dip and I never win.... So there's some statistics for you.
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

I buy my tickets throught the national lottery website I have a subscribtion and I buy 1 wed and 1 sat a week, I have been doing this for over two years and have won 2 x £10 but you have to be in it to win it!! Good luck for all you other lotto players
  • i remember a programme on tv with neil fox, you could either choose 100,000 lottery tickets or £25k as a prize, the tickets won about £20k a week, a big scale, showing you loose money

I did this with my mum for about 10 years. Between us, we would put 5 lines on each Saturday - so £10 a month each. The most we ever won was 4 numbers which coincidentally was £44 both times we had them. We won a few tenners - not much. We saw sense a couple of years ago and stopped. We always used the same numbers.

I always buy 6.5 lottery tickets using a £20 which i write my matra on "Kum by Shep, Kum by" and when i recieve my change i always do so by hopping on one leg and by rotating clockwise, then anti-clockwise.

Ridiculous? Yes, just like the odds of winning the lottery. Every time you fancy buying a ticket, put the money in a jar and bank it or treat yourself to something at the end of the year.

If it helps you, my mum used to have a system that worked well.

She monitored which numbers came out more, she circled them on her ticket and made a list. (I have also found a list on the Lotto website). She found that if she put the top 6 most popular numbers, she'd get 3 and get £10 back. She hasn't done it in a while, lord knows why, £9 near enough every week, adds up quickly!

Everyone will be doing this now! :rotfl:
  • Here's a thought about the old 'Lucky Dip' - The numbers have already come up once when the computer 'chose' the numbers for you; what's the chances of them coming up again on the Lottery draw that same week?
