Well mines was at 12.30 and I was finished at 12.55 so mines was not long at all which worried me a bit.

Good luck with your interview whatsername. Its not as bad as you think.

How long do you reckon we will have to wait to find out if we were successful?

I checked on the Civil Service website. According to the information there, they score everyone after their interview, add that to the scores of the sift test to get an average percentage. Once the last person is seen (27th August in our case) they take the 70 with the highest scores overall. Having said that, on the way out one of the staff members told us that we would hear very quickly by email. Either way, its an anxious wait!

Ah ok thats not so bad. I doubt I got a very good score in my interview though. However 90% in the tests might help a bit hopefully. Ahhh I hate waiting!

The letter also says that feedback will be available online within 10 days so that may give us an idea of how we got on.

We may be colleagues soon haha

I don't think I will score highly from the interview - my examples really didn't fit the questions very well, but it was all I could think of at the time. All my carefully prepared scenarios went out of the window through nerves. If only I had taken a few notes! Still, no point in crying over spilt milk, eh? Yes, your 90% sift test result will bump up any shortcomings on the interview front, although I am sure you did far better than you think! Yes, won't it be funny if we end up working together!!!

Yes I know! I did take notes and I still flopped lol

Silver - No no other questions. They basically take you in the room tell you that there are 4 questions for 4 competencies. they will each ask 2 questions each while the other takes notes. Then you get your 4 questions and its over.

Rockyrach is right - just the four questions and then OUT and on to the next. The candidates were coming in at half hour intervals in groups of three. They are interviewing here (in Dundee) until 27th August and the appointments are spread over evenings and weekends too. There are 70 positions available and I calculate (as a rough estimate) they are going to be seeing 500 hopefuls during this period - the list they had for candidates on the day we were there was massive. The only further advice I can give is to be yourself and remember not to say "we" did so-and-so. It has to be "I" all the way.

500 is alot!! However, I would say maybe 10% of those are written off by the looks of some being interviewed. Those too lazy to brush their hair etc. Plus those that have been forced from job centre lol
